Rick Owens DRKSHDW
Rick Owens is a Southern California-based designer whose eponymous label is known for its avant-garde and rock-inspired pieces. Before becoming a prominent figure in the fashion industry, he had dropped out of art school. In 1994, he started his label, quickly gaining a following among the grunge community. The French Vogue's portrayal of Kate Moss in one of his leather jackets helped elevate his status within the industry. He collaborated with Michelle Lamy, his partner, to create collections that combine elements of both post-apocalyptic and gothic design. DRKSHDW's ready-to-wear interpretation of his label gives the same avant-garde treatment to his already established brand.
