The Chester Perry brand was founded in 1971 by Osti. Its name was derived from the factory where Frank Dickens' character, Bristow, works. To promote his company, Osti used various mediums, such as toys and posters, to reach out to his clients. Otsi used a variety of methods to make his clothes, such as the use of a four-color process and a photocopier that at the time are only usually used for paper.
