In 2002, PLAY, a diffusion line of Comme des Garçons, the innovative Japanese label led by Rei Kawakubo, was launched. The line focuses on wardrobe essentials with a touch of pattern, and its simple knits are consistently adorned with variations of its distinctive bug-eyed heart logo, designed by New York artist Filip Pagowski. The collection features casual men's clothing items such as t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, button-down shirts, and Converse All-Star sneakers, subtly reinvented with stripes, polka dots, and graphics.
