A Brief Artist Interview with Our Friend Caleb Hahne
Caleb wears the Fruit Branch Bowling Shirt by BODE, and the Drape Trousers by Our Legacy. Shoes and jewelry are Caleb's own.
Caleb Hahne is a Denver-based painter and creative who's dream-like artworks address themes like vulnerability, boyhood, and intimacy to visually tell stories that may not always be so direct or easy to grasp, yet often elicit memories or a feeling of nostalgia in many viewers.
Calebs knack for story-telling has seen his work commissioned and exhibited all over the world from right here in Denver to places in the US like New York, and outside of the US like Italy and Belgium! Read along as we take a little time to learn a little more about the words, sounds, and otherwise that fuel his creative process, and see what's coming up for him and his artwork in the artists' studio.

Steadbrook: Which albums have been on repeat at the studio lately?
Caleb Hahne: I can’t stop listening to the new Duval Timothy album. I’ve also loved information by galcher lustwerk and pretty much all albums by Dean blunt.

SB: What have you been reading lately?
CH: I started reading Eichmann In Jerusalem by Hannah Ardent. It’s a dense read and kind of surreal how much it reflects our current political climate. I recently read “tonight I’m someone else” by Chelsea hodson and “the crying book” by Heather Christle.
